Nurse-Family Partnership

Province-wide

Nurse-Family Partnership is a free public health program for women in BC having their first baby. Women enrolled in the program are visited by a public health nurse throughout their pregnancy, continuing until their child reaches two years of age.

Best Beginnings program provides public health services to pregnant women, new moms, babies and children to age 2.

La Leche League Canada is a registered charity that provides peer support for pregnant women/parents, new moms/parents. In person, by phone, online, and in informal group meetings our volunteer Leaders will be there to support you by providing evidence-based information on breastfeeding and human milk. Infant Development Program

The Infant Development Program (IDP) is a family-centred, home visiting program for children, birth to 3 years of age, who are experiencing or at risk for a developmental delay. 

They work alongside families to implement play based strategies to help children grow and learn as well as provide related resources and referrals.

For newcomer women, Archway has several support groups that are available in Ukrainian, Farsi, and Punjabi. These groups offer a chance for women to learn about various topics relating to health and wellness and enjoy new activities such as yoga, walking, art and discussion groups.

Cloth For A Cause

Designed to introduce new parents and parents-to-be to the benefits of simple, affordable cloth diapers by providing a hands-on opportunity to see and feel different types of modern reusable cloth diapers.

They can arrange a meetup or travel to you and provide a workshop demonstration that will cover how to get started with cloth diapering, and ways to cloth diaper on a budget. The mother will be provided with a free kit which includes 1 wet bag for travel and 7 pre-loved cloth diapers. 

After the parent has had some time to try out the kit they can either request additional cloth diapers to continue on cloth diapering or request a pickup of the loaner kit.
