Meet our Board Of Directors
Meet, Renae – Co-Founder
Renae is a co-founder of Care For Women, driven by a strong passion to support women and their families during the critical early stages of motherhood. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, she specializes in helping children, youth, and families affected by trauma and attachment disruptions, both in her private practice and through her work with Complex Trauma Resources. Renae’s enthusiasm spans many areas, and it seems that all four of her children have inherited her diverse interests, keeping her on her toes. Outside of her work, she enjoys cycling with her husband, hiking, writing, and reading — particularly sharing her love for Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia with her older kids.
Why did Renae join the Care For Women board?
Care For Women was born just three weeks after Renae’s third child arrived, a time when she felt completely overwhelmed, despite the support of her husband and mother. What began as ideas jotted down in a notebook and shared with other women, soon grew into a deep passion in her heart — a vision that had been developing for a long time.
Meet, Kenzi – Co-Founder
Kenzi is one of the co-founders of Care For Women and is passionate about seeing women supported during the difficult transition to motherhood. Kenzi loves casting vision for where Care For Women is heading and providing leadership for this growing, passionate team of women. Outside of Care For Women, Kenzi works as a marriage therapist in her private practice and considers it the biggest honour to walk alongside couples who are feeling disconnected. Kenzi is also married to Matt, they have three firecracker children who serve as constant entertainment.
Why did Kenzi join the Care For Women board?
Having witnessed her own mother navigate the challenges of raising four children as a single parent, and experiencing the profound loss of her mother while pregnant with her second child, Kenzi has developed a deep longing to see women supporting women during their most difficult times. To her, this kind of tangible, compassionate support is the true essence of love. It not only strengthens families but also enriches and connects entire communities.
Meet, Tatiana
Tatiana is passionate about creating safe spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered, especially in motherhood. She believes real support comes from genuine connection and shared experiences. With a background in business development and psychology, she helps bridge professional insight with personal understanding at Care for Women. Outside of Care for Women, Tatiana is completing her master’s in counselling psychology while working in business strategy and supporting her family’s businesses. As a devoted wife and mother of four, she embraces the beautiful chaos of family life with grace and humour. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, sharing coffee with friends, and learning something new.
Why did Tatiana join the Care For Women board?
As a mother, Tatiana knows firsthand how much support matters in the early years of parenting. Immigrating from Russia, she also understands the unique weight that immigrant families carry, often juggling personal and professional responsibilities without a clear roadmap. Having lived this journey, Tatiana is deeply committed to ensuring that no woman feels alone in the challenges of motherhood. She believes that when women are supported, entire families and communities thrive. Care for Women embodies this vision not only offering help, but true connection and empowerment.
Meet, Melanie
Melanie is passionate about helping people reach their potential and walking with them on their path to flourishing. Whether it’s through coaching, identifying barriers, creative problem solving, facilitation, or advocacy, Melanie sees the best in people and situations and enjoys moving them forward. Currently serving as the Director, Centre for Calling & Career Development at Trinity Western University, she is actively building partnerships and developing strategies to empower students to be equipped for life. Melanie is married to Rocky, and they have three active boys.
Why did Melanie join the Care For Women board?
Passionate about building community in an increasingly individualistic society, Melanie and her family have intentionally created a village of support with other families. Recognizing how difficult this is to create, and how vital this support is—especially in the early weeks for mom and baby—she felt a strong call to partner with Care for Women to make this kind of love and support available to more women. Intentional presence and care are how people and communities thrive, building a more vibrant and sustainable future for everyone.
Meet, Juleen
Juleen is a vibrant example of compassion, resilience, and lifelong learning. Married to Scott for 28 years and a proud mother of three sons, she has balanced work and family life with grace and determination. With a degree in business, she has spent over 20 years supporting both her family’s businesses and her own.
In 2017, Juleen returned to school, earning her RHN (Registered Holistic Nutritionist) certification. She is passionate about teaching and supporting people in their health journeys, helping make nutrition feel simple, practical, and achievable.
Juleen is also a dedicated advocate for children and adults with special needs. Inspired by personal experience, she has supported families, promoted inclusion, and worked to improve access to resources and opportunities—helping create meaningful, lasting change.
Why did Juleen join the Care For Women board?
Juleen strongly believes that no mother should be or feel alone. Her experience as mother, nutritionist and advocate has shown her the importance of community and support during vulnerable times. By serving on the board of Care for Women she is looking forward to using her skills to further it’s mission and core values to bring hope and lasting positive change for these women.
Meet, Stephanie
Stephanie is currently navigating early motherhood alongside her role as a part-time CFO, with
the support of her husband, Clark. Since earning her CPA designation in 2014, she brings a
detail-oriented, determined, and highly committed approach to her work.
At home, Stephanie thrives on creative playtime with her little one, connecting with friends over
coffee, building Excel sheets, and trying new recipes for her family. She has found joy in
motherhood, slowing down and appreciating simple moments.
Why did Stephanie join the Care For Women board?
Stephanie is drawn to opportunities where she can contribute her personal experience and
professional skills in meaningful ways. As she and close friends became mothers together, she
was struck by how overwhelming the early weeks can be, and how critical it is to have both
emotional and practical support.
Stephanie believes there can be a gap between what new mothers may expect and what they
experience at home. Care For Women helps bridge that gap by offering real support and
connection during a time that can otherwise feel isolating. She hopes to see services like these
become a standard, accessible part of postpartum care, so that no mother feels she has to
navigate it alone.
