Nurse-Family Partnership
Province-wide
Nurse-Family Partnership is a free public health program for women in BC having their first baby. Women enrolled in the program are visited by a public health nurse throughout their pregnancy, continuing until their child reaches two years of age.

Best Beginnings program provides public health services to pregnant women, new moms, babies and children to age 2.

A FREE Pregnancy Outreach Program funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada. This Prenatal Nutrition Program offers support during pregnancy and for 6 months postpartum.
Tummy Talks
Provides free online prenatal classes led by registered nurses to provide unbiased and current information to all expectant parents to facilitate your preparation for childbirth and the care of your newborn.

La Leche League
La Leche League Canada is a registered charity that provides peer support for pregnant women/parents, new moms/parents. In person, by phone, online, and in informal group meetings our volunteer Leaders will be there to support you by providing evidence-based information on breastfeeding and human milk. There is no cost to receive support from a Leader and all regular informal group meetings are free of charge.

Parent and Tot Groups
Strong Start
StrongStart is a FREE, drop-in, parent participatory early learning program for preschool-aged children. A qualified early childhood educator leads activities, including stories, music and arts, to help children grow linguistically, emotionally and socially, and become comfortable in a school-like setting.
Pacific Postpartum
Pacific Postpartum offers phone/text support as well as support groups.
Peer support groups for new parents who have had a baby within the last 18 months.

Abby Dads
By Archway Community Services is actively involved in supporting dads moving toward healthier relationships with their families. We offer relationship-based training programs for dads such as Anger Awareness and Men in Relationships, and do attachment parenting programming for both parents, including Nobody’s Perfect.

Support Group For Women - By Archway
For newcomer women, Archway has several support groups that are available in Ukrainian, Farsi, and Punjabi. These groups offer a chance for women to learn about various topics relating to health and wellness and enjoy new activities such as yoga, walking, art and discussion groups.
Free childcare is offered if needed.

Postpartum Progress
Postpartumprogress.com is the world’s most widely-read blog dedicated to maternal mental illness. It offers warm, positive, in-depth information, support and hope for all pregnant and new moms who experience postpartum depression and all other mental illnesses related to pregnancy and childbirth, including postpartum anxiety, postpartum OCD, depression or anxiety during pregnancy, post-adoption depression, postpartum PTSD, bipolar, peripartum onset/postpartum bipolar, depression after miscarriage or perinatal loss and postpartum psychosis.
Cloth For A Cause
Designed to introduce new parents and parents-to-be to the benefits of simple, affordable cloth diapers by providing a hands-on opportunity to see and feel different types of modern reusable cloth diapers.
They can arrange a meetup or travel to you and provide a workshop demonstration that will cover how to get started with cloth diapering, and ways to cloth diaper on a budget. The mother will be provided with a free kit which includes 1 wet bag for travel and 7 pre-loved cloth diapers.
After the parent has had some time to try out the kit they can either request additional cloth diapers to continue on cloth diapering or request a pickup of the loaner kit.
